Maher claims first High Gun of 2012

Tim Maher was in fine touch at the Deniliquin Clay Target Club’s first shoot of the year on Sunday.

The local shooter took out the High Gun with an impressive 143/145 scorecard.

Maher shared the AA grade first event with Peter Akkermans, Jack Collicoat and James Willet (45/45).

The experienced shooter was also the overall and AA grade winner of event three (74/74).

About 30 shooters contested the shoot.

Results: Event 1 – AA grade P Akkermans, J Collicoat, J Willet, T Maher 45/45; A grade A Whitechurch 42/45; B grade L Tomey 45/45; C grade N Braund 45/45.

Event 2 – Overall J Willett 74/74, 2nd P Akkermans 60/61; A grade D Milodjovic 29/30, 2nd A Whitechurch 32/35; B grade L Tomey 73/74, 2nd G Ervin 29/30; C grade N Braund 26/30, 2nd N Calandro 20/30.

Event 3 – Overall and AA grade T Maher 74/74, 2nd R Collicoat 73/74; A grade R Buckley 52/60, 2nd D Milodjovic, 51/60; B grade G Ervin 51/60, 2nd N Lester 46/60; C grade N Pallandro 40160.

Event 4 – R Anderson Sunday 20/20.
